Beam Expander - CO2 Laser

The most common type beam expander is derived from Galilean telescope which usually has one negative input lens and one positive output lens. The input lens presents a virtual beam focus at the output. For low expansion ratio, the Galilean telescope is most often employed due to simplicity, small package size and low cost. Beam expander is commonly used to magnify the laser diameter to be focused back in smaller spot size.

CO2 BEX - Adjustable Series

This series of beam expander has advantage as the isnternal lenses will only move along the optical axis without rotation. Adjustable ring with scales make it more convenient for user’s operation. It has common connecting thread of M24x0.5, M33x0.5, M16x0.75, M22x0.75, M30x1.

Specifications

For collimation of CO2 laser <100W
Fixed magnifications 1x-10x
Adjustable divergence
Galilei Design

Advantages

This mount also has advantage as the first lens does not rotate in respect to the second lens. It also has been equipped with scale for the user to measure the distance of the lenses.

CO2 BEX - Fixed Series

The most common beam expander is Galilean type which usually has one negative input lens and one positive output lens, the beam expansion ratio for a Gaussian beam depends not only the specifications of the beam expender, but also on the laser beam parameters as well as the positions of the optical lenses.
