Optikos Object Generators are used for MTF testing of optical systems. MTF testing requires that the lens under test image an object of known spectral and spatial content. The Optikos Object Generator serves this purpose. It consists of an illuminator that provides the spectral content and a target assembly containing multiple targets, such as pinholes and slits, each of particular spatial content.
Optikos offers two types of illuminators—visible illuminators and infrared illuminators. Each illuminator features integral condensing optics, optical filter holders, a regulated power supply, and associated cables.
Two types of target wheels are also offered—manual and automatic. Both target assemblies consist of an eight-position target wheel with user replaceable targets. The Automatic Target Wheel is controlled through OpTest™ Software to address automation requirements of production environments.

OG-100 Visible Illuminator

Condenser optics are sufficiently separated to provide collimated space for optical filters. The lamp energy is relayed onto a target wheel which accepts multiple pinholes, slits, edge or resolution targets.

The lamp filament is imaged onto the target of a target wheel.The distance between the condensing and objective lenses provides collimated space for optical filter holders.Attaching microscope objectives increases both the numerical aperture of the target and the spatial frequency range for MTF testing.

OG-200 Infrared Illuminator
The OG-200 Infrared Illuminator includes an integral chopper wheel for use with the SI-200 and SI-300 EROS™ Scanning Image Analyzers.
The OG-200 Infrared Illuminator is shown with the Object Generator Bracket and the WT-100 target wheel.Two infrared filters are included with the OG-200.
