Minimum resolvable temperature difference (MRTD)
Measured in degrees C as a function of target spatial frequency when using an infrared source unit with a 4-bar target pattern. MRTD is a standard performance measurement for Thermal Imagers. It is the temperature difference at which an operator should be able to resolve the general class of target that is present (but not necessarily be able to distinguish between objects within a general class).
